1994 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001

Description

Extra thickness shows on UNITED, ONE CENT, AMERICA, and the designer’s initials. Notches show on the upper letters of ONE CENT, especially the N in ONE, and the lower 2nd A in AMERICA.

Die Markers

• Obverse: A strong die scratch connects the upper 1 and first 9 in the date. Mostly parallel die scratches run from west to east below TRUST. Reverse: A short die scratch runs NE from the upper 6th column. A short diagonal die scratch can be found just to the left of the center of the O in ONE. A light die crack connects the upper N and I in UNITED. A die scratch runs ENE from the G in the designer’s initials.
