1994 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-014
Error
Description
Classified as a Class IV spread to the south, Wexler WDDR-014 on the 1994 Philadelphia Lincoln cent produced extra floor lines in bays 1, 2, 3, 10, and 11 — an unusually wide spread affecting both sides of the Memorial. The reverse die deteriorated substantially during service, developing a major die crack running SSW from the bottom of the 9th Memorial column through the steps down to the top of the E in CENT, along with light die cracks descending the first two columns and die chips on the middle and lower portions of the last column. Additional reverse markers include a die gouge inside the upper N in UNITED and a die gouge between the bottoms of N and T in CENT. No significant obverse die markers were recorded. The combination of widespread floor-line doubling and progressive cracking makes this one of the more visually complex DDR varieties in the 1994-P series. Cross-referenced as Coppercoins 1994P-1DR-013 and Wexler Variety ID 1994 1¢ WDDR-014.
