Description
Extra thickness shows on the date, especially the lower nines and IGWT. The hair on the upper front of the head shows separation lines. Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge (dot) can be found in the field midway between the upper beard and the rim. A die gouge (dot) can be found in the field midway between the nose and the rim. A die gouge can be found to the right of the upper O in GOD. Reverse: A strong die gouge can be found to the right of the middle of the last column. A die crack runs NNW from the left edge of the roof. A die break (lump) can be found on the right end of the top of the left cornice. A die gouge (dot) can be found midway between the 2nd A in AMERICA and the designer’s initials.
