Description

Extra thickness shows on the date and slightly on LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: A miniscule die gouge shows close to the rim well northeast of the 5 in the date. A short die scratch runs south from the lower I in IN. A light die scratch shows in the field below the letters S and T in TRUST (this could be damage). Reverse: An area of die damage shows in the field southwest of the U in UNITED. A die gouge shows on the lower edge of the diagonal crossbar of the letter N in UNITED. A series of light horizontal die scratches run through the letters TES in STATES. Small die gouges (dots) show in upper Memorial bays 8 and 10. Submitted By: Daniel Griffin Cross References: None known Comments: This variety is from a 1985 mint set. All markers are extremely minor, and the coin is otherwise essentially marker free. Obverse: None significant. Reverse: A small die gouge can be found south of the right end of the Memorial steps. Obverse
