Description
The 1984 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1984 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent, part of the Lincoln Memorial Cents 1959-2008 series. Die markers: Obverse: Two parallel die scratches NW to SE through E of WE. Two parallel die scratches NE from front of vest left of lower 1 in date. Reverse: Numerous west to east die scratches below Memorial. Die scratch SSE from top right T of CENT.
