1983 Typical Die Clash TDC-1C-1983-06

Description

TDC-1c-1983-06 TDC-1C-1983-06 This single clash event occurred on a 1983 P Lincoln cent.  The overlay provided shows the relative position of the dies during the clash event.  Even though there is an obvious tillt to the clash, the amount of the tilt is typically seen on this era’s cents. This coin shows unabraded clash marks on the obverse and heavily abraided clash marks on the reverse.  Die markers for this die clash can be found as a die scratches above the O of One and a die crack extending from the upper left corner of memorial through the I of UNITED.
