1983 (P) Lincoln Memorial Cent - Atypical Die Clash ADC-1C-1983-01

Description

ADC-1c-1983-01 is an atypical die clash on a 1983-P Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by Mad Die Clashes. This strong clash has a 5° rotation, which MDC sees often. The reverse die left marks of the Memorial reaching from the cornice to the bottom step, and part of the roof shows near the date. ONE's E clashed below the O in GOD, and CENT's C sits just down and to the left of the W in WE; these match a strong mark on the reverse left by the top of Lincoln's head. MDC's overlays show the die positions with the 5° rotation built in, though it is hard to see. The coin belongs to Aisha Shahid's private collection.
