Description

A close Class II spread towards the center shows on the bottom of the letters of ONE CENT with the spread increasing slightly from left to right. Close doubling also shows on the designer’s initials. Die Markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: A die crack runs down the last column with a large die chip at the bottom of the column. A die scratch runs from north to south near the right edge of the Memorial roof. Thin die cracks can be found on all but the 3rd, 4th, and 5th columns. A die crack runs from the upper left through the E in UNITED and out to the rim. A die crack runs along the base of the Memorial steps starting under the 2nd column and extending all the way to the point of the right Memorial base. Die cracks can be found on the top of the posts on either side of the steps. A die crack runs from the left Memorial base to the rim.
