The 1974-D Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1974 (D) Lincoln Memorial Cent, part of the Lincoln Memorial Cents 1959-2008 series. Die markers: Obverse: Thin Date Variety. Three parallel die scratches run through the hair behind the ear. Reverse: A strong die gouge can be found at the rim above the E in AMERICA. A long die scratch runs through the lower NE of ONE.
