1972 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-023

Description

A close Class I CW spread shows on the LIBER of LIBERTY and IGWT. Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouges extend WSW from the base of the bust at the designer’s initials. Three short die gouges can be found at the bottom of the center fold in the vest. Reverse: A horizontal die scratch can be found above the left side of the M in UNUM. A die gouge can be found between the two feet of the statue. Obverse:
