Description
1971 WDDO-002 is a doubled die obverse on the 1971 Kennedy half dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. A counterclockwise (CCW) spread, pivoting near 10:00, appears on WE TRUST, the 71 of the date and TY of LIBERTY. On the obverse, LIBERTY's L has a small die dent west of its base. Wexler notes no significant reverse markers. Roger W. Beckner submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references and notes that it turned up in a 1971 U.S. Mint set.
