1970-S Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-005

Description

A Class II spread towards the center shows on the letters of LIBERTY. On early die state specimens some slight doubling can also be seen on the lower 0 in the date.

Die Markers

• Obverse: A die crack runs down the lower half of the nine and then east to the top of the mint mark. Reverse: A die gouge can be found near the rim to the right of the designer’s initials.
