Description

An extra horizontal bar can be found below the horizontal bar of the 7 and slight doubling can be found under the 0. Die Markers: Obverse: Large Date. Two parallel die scratches run SW to NE between the lower N of IN and the G of GOD. A short, vertical die scratch can be found the bottoms of the S and T in TRUST. The mint mark is positioned lower than on any other similar 1970-S varieties. Reverse: A long die scratch runs parallel to the left side of the 1st Memorial column. A short die gouge can be found between the lower R and I of AMERICA. Die scratches run NNW to SSE to the left and right of the lower last Memorial column. A die scratch runs north to south on the inside of the C of CENT. Numerous die scratches run through the N and T of CENT. Obverse:
