Error
Description
Doubling shows below the horizontal bar of the L in LIBERTY and above the horizontal bar of the 7 in the date. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A short die scratch runs SW from the top left of the seven in the date. A die scratch runs N/S between the E of WE and the first T in TRUST. Obverse Stage B: Short die scratches extend west from the back of the bust. A die scratch curves to the south from the lower left of the G in GOD. Obverse Stage C: All previous die markers are very weak or no longer visible. Reverse Stage A: A die gouge can be found to the right of the bottom of the N in UNITED. A die gouge can be found below the first S in STATES. Die pitting can be found above the right Memorial base. Reverse Stage B: Numerous die scratches run NW/SE to the left of the Memorial. Reverse Stage C: A small die gouge can be found at the bottom of the third Memorial bay. A small die gouge can be found below the E in EPU.
