1970-S Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-008

Description

Doubling shows above the horizontal bar of the 7 in the date. Die Markers: Obverse: Die scratches run north from the tops of the R, T, and Y in LIBERTY. A die scratch runs NNE from the bridge of the nose. Reverse: Die pitting can be found to the right of the bottom of the I in UNITED. Parallel die scratches run from SW to NE between the D in UNITED and the 1st S in STATES. Die scratches run from north to south in the 10th bay and on the left side of the right Memorial base. Other die scratches can be found throughout the reverse.
