1970-D Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-026

Description

Doubling shows above the top of the 7 and below the bottom of the L in LIBERTY. A spread towards the center shows on the letters of LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: A die gouge can be found NNE of the zero in the date. A short, vertical die scratch can be found to the right of the bottom of the 2nd T in TRUST. Reverse: A short, vertical die scratch can be found just to the right of the bottom of the T in UNITED. A die scratch runs south from the bottom of the E in UNITED. Die scratches run from NW to SE through the ST in STATES. Obverse:
