Description
1970-D WDDO-026 is a doubled die obverse on the 1970-D Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. There is doubling over the top of the 7 and beneath the bottom of the L in LIBERTY, and the letters of LIBERTY show a spread toward the center. On the obverse, a gouge sits NNE of the zero in the date, and a short vertical scratch lies right of the base of the 2nd T in TRUST. On the reverse, a short vertical scratch is just right of the base of the T in UNITED, a scratch runs south off the bottom of UNITED's E, and NW to SE scratches cross the ST in STATES. Brian Ribar submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
