Description

Strong doubling shows above the 7 and 0 in the date. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A short, diagonal die scratch can be found NW of the 1 in the date. A short, vertical die gouge can be found under the top curve of the G in GOD. A short, vertical die gouge can be found to the right of the center of the I of IN. Obverse Stage B: Parallel die scratches run NE from the top right and bottom right of the 1 in the date. Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the obverse. Reverse Stage A: A die scratch runs from the upper right 1st T of STATES through the dot between the E and P in EPU. A die scratch runs from the bottom right of the A in STATES to the top right of the P in PLURIBUS. A die scratch runs SW from the I of UNITED to the Memorial. Reverse Stage B: Numerous die scratches run from NW to SE throughout the reverse. A die chip can be found on the center of the 1st column.
