Description

Doubling shows under the horizontal bar of the 7 and below the 0. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: Strong clash marks from the Memorial bays run through the RTY in LIBERTY and below the chin. Parallel die scratches run NE from the nose. A die scratch runs from SW to NE through the 9 and 7. Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the obverse. Obverse Stage B: The Stage A markers are weaker. A die gouge can be found below and between the T and R in TRUST. Obverse Stage C: The die clash marks through the RTY are gone but those below the chin are still visible. Reverse Stage A: Numerous die scratches run from NW to SE throughout the reverse. A die crack runs down the 1st Memorial column. Reverse Stage B: The Stage A die scratches are much weaker. A die crack runs down the last Memorial column. A strong die gouge, probably a feeder finger scrape, runs NW from the top of the left base of the Memorial. Reverse Stage C: Numerous die scratches run frorm SW to NE on the upper left part of the reverse.
