Description
The 1969 Lincoln Memorial Cent is a cent produced at the Philadelphia Mint as part of the Lincoln Memorial Cents 1959-2008 series. The U.S. Mint produced 1.1 billion examples, making this the higher-mintage of the two mint variants, representing 68% of production. The obverse features Abraham Lincoln facing right and the reverse displays the Lincoln Memorial building in Washington, D.C.. The 1969-S Doubled Die Obverse is one of the most valuable modern Lincoln Cent varieties. Struck at the original U.S. Mint facility, in continuous operation since 1792.
