Description

Cataloged by VarietyVista with UVC-395 and DMR-037 designations, this thirtieth doubled die obverse for the 1966 Kennedy Half Dollar Silver Clad issue exhibits light spread on the chin, neck, ear, designer's initials (the "GR" of Gilroy Roberts), and the hair at the back of the head, combined with a light counterclockwise spread on IBERTY of LIBERTY. Three die states have been documented: Stage A in early die state (EDS) for both obverse and reverse, Stage B showing mid-die-state (MDS) characteristics, and Stage C in late die state (LDS) though unconfirmed.
