The 1966 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-013 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1966 SMS Kennedy Half Dollar, part of the Kennedy Half Dollars Silver Clad 1965-1970 series. Die markers: UVC-087 DMR-015 Stage A: Die scratch from lower lip to chin – EDS Two light die gouges next to rim Southwest of I of IN Die scratches North-South above arrows in eagle's Left talon – EDS Stage B: Die clash in field in front of forehead – EMDS Reverse is EMDS Stage C: Die clash abraded away – MDS Reverse is MDS Stage D: LDS (unconfirmed).
