The 1966 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-010 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1966 SMS Kennedy Half Dollar, part of the Kennedy Half Dollars Silver Clad 1965-1970 series. Die markers: UVC-084 DMR-012 Stage A: Obverse is EDS Minor doubling of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the stars under those letters – EDS Stage B: Obverse is EMDS Light die clash through DOL of DOLLAR – EMDS Stage C: LDS (unconfirmed).
