Description

The 1965 Doubled Die Obverse DDO-001 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1965 SMS Kennedy Half Dollar, part of the Kennedy Half Dollars Silver Clad 1965-1970 series. Die markers: UVC-063 DMR-003 Stage A: Light die scratches along the lower front bust – EDS Reverse is EDS Stage B: Obverse and Reverse are MDS Stage C: Obverse and Reverse are LDS.
