1964 Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-005

Description

A close spread towards the rim shows on LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: Two short vertical die gouges can be found between the upper I and B in LIBERTY. Reverse: The reverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1964 25¢ Pr WDDR-006. A spread towards the center shows on STATES OF AMERICA, EPU, the eagle’s left wing, the branch ends, the lower right leaves, and slightly on QUARTER DOLLAR. A die gouge can be found between the bottom of the second S in STATES and the O in OF. Obverse:
