Description
1964 WDDR-032 is a doubled die reverse on the 1964 proof Roosevelt dime, cataloged by the Wexler team. A counterclockwise (CCW) spread pivoting near 3:00 appears on E PLU, ONE and UNITED STATES. The obverse has a Blunt Tail 9 and is a doubled die, carried in Wexler's doubled die files as 1964 proof WDDO-005, with a Class V clockwise (CW) spread pivoting near 7:00 only on the hair details. Many scratches mark the rim at the left, two especially strong ones sit on the rim under the I in IN, and two small gouges lie under the chin. On the reverse, gouges sit on the rim under the right side of ONE's O, near the rim over the left side of OF's F, and left of DIME's D. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
