The 1963 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse (DDR) variety, where die hubbing misalignment produced visible doubling on the reverse design. This variety was discovered on the 1963 Proof Jefferson Nickel, part of the Jefferson Nickels Original Design 1938-2003 series. Die markers: Obverse: Light north-south die scratch in head to rim at approximately 12 oclock. Reverse: Short, horizontal die gouge between tops of two left windows; die gouge (dot) above N of CENTS.
