Description
Doubling shows as a doubled L in LIBERTY spread CCW. Die Markers: Obverse: Parallel, horizontal die scratches run through the 19 in the date. A die scratch runs ENE from the top of the T in LIBERTY. Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the obverse. Reverse: The reverse is a significant doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1962 1¢ WDDR-021. A die gouge can be found below the right end of the center horizontal bar of the E in CENT. Die clash marks can be found in the 3rd Memorial bay. Numerous die scratches run mostly north to south above the right side of the Memorial roof. Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the reverse. Obverse:
