Description
Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA very nice tripled spread toward the center shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, especially on the lower serifs. A closer doubled spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM and FIVE CENTS. All spreads increase from left to right. Die Markers: Obverse: Stage A: Diagonal die gouge on back edge of coat just below collar.Stage B: Series of strong north-south die scratches in front of eye, mouth and chin. Reverse: None noted.
