Description
The 1960 Proof Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-002 is a doubled die obverse (DDO) variety, where a misalignment during the die hubbing process created visible doubling on the obverse design elements. This variety was discovered on the 1960 Lincoln Memorial Cent - Proof Small Date, part of the Lincoln Memorial Cents 1959-2008 series. Die markers: Obverse: Several die scratches run through the upper ear and the hair just above the ear. Reverse: A die scratch loops down from the bottom of the Memorial just to the left of the right post and then curves back up to the bottom of the Memorial above the right side of the T in CENT.
