Description
1960 WDDR-005 is a doubled die reverse on the 1960 proof Lincoln Memorial cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. A close spread toward the center shows on ONE CENT, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the designer's initials. Wexler notes no obverse markers. On the reverse, a short vertical gouge lies left of the upper part of the second A in AMERICA, and two diagonal scratches mark the right base of the Memorial. Near the top of the sixth bay there is a nearly horizontal scratch, and a short diagonal gouge near the top of bay three. A small gouge (dot) sits in CENT, between the middles of the E and N. Timothy Wissert submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
