Description

Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA nice spread toward the center shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS and all of MONTICELLO, decreasing from left to right.  A very close spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM, also decreasing from left to right.

Die Markers

• Obverse: Diagonal die gouge to left of lower portion of I of IN; short diagonal die gouge below and between IN and GOD.
• Reverse: Short die gouge below first U of PLURIBUS; die gouge (dot) between lower portion of D of UNITED and first S of STATES; die gouge (dot) on rim above right side of M of UNUM.
