Description
Class II, Distorted Hub Doubling "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die VarietiesA very strong spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM decreasing from left to right. A very strong constant spread shows on UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, FIVE CENTS and MONTICELLO. Doubling also shows on both sides of the building. Tripling can be seen on many letters, especially on UNITED STATES. Die markers: Obverse: None noted. Reverse: Stage A: Die gouge (dot) inside center of C of AMERICA.Stage B: Heavily polished. Short vertical die gouge just right of upper right tip of E of UNITED.
