Description
Holding the primary DDR designation for the 1959-D Jefferson nickel, DDR-001 presents light extra thickness on UNUM and OF AMERICA — a doubling presentation where the secondary hub impression sits nearly perfectly aligned with the primary but slightly displaced, creating visibly thickened letters rather than the separated doubling seen in spread varieties. The "extra thickness" description is a hallmark of close-alignment hub doubling. VarietyVista assigns UVC-988 and die marriage DMR-004 to this primary variety.
