Description
Strong extra thickness shows on the letters of QUARTER DOLLAR, the letters of EPU, the letters of USA, and the lower leaves and branches. Die Markers: Obverse: Die scratches extend NE from the top of the head below the B of LIBERTY. A short die scratch runs SE from the lower right Y of LIBERTY. A die crack runs from west to east at the top of the forehead. Reverse: A short, vertical die gouge can be found to the left of the E in QUARTER. A small die gouge can be found at the top of the D in DOLLAR. A small die gouge can be found inside the top of the 1st U in PLURIBUS. Obverse:
