Sharing a die pair with obverse 1957 Pr 5c WDDO-010, this proof Jefferson Nickel carries Class II Distorted Hub Doubling with spread on E PLURIBUS UNUM and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA that increases in intensity from left to right. The progressive intensification is characteristic of Class II displacement, where asymmetric distortion concentrates the offset toward one side of the die face, producing subtly thickened lettering on the left that grows into more distinct separation on the right. This die pair carries hub doubling on both sides — the reverse WDDR-014 here and the paired WDDO-010 obverse — meaning the same coin exhibits independent hubbing errors on two dies, requiring two distinct preparation mistakes within one working pair.
