1957 Doubled Die Reverse WDDR-010

Description

Class II, Distorted Hub DoublingA nice spread toward the center shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.  A very close spread shows on FIVE CENTS.  All spreads increase from left to right.

Die Markers

• Obverse: Short die gouge from right side of N of IN; short horizontal die gouge in upper part of 5 of date; circular-patterned die scratches on forehead and cheek; x-shaped die scratch under chin.
• Reverse: Die scratches through lower portions of RIB of PLURIBUS; die scratch through LLO of MONTICELLO; diagonal die scratch inside upper right small semi-circular arch.
