Description

A spread towards the south shows on the ERTY of LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: The obverse also has an RPM variety that is listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1957-D 1¢ WRPM-010. It is a D/D Tilted (Rotated). A die scratch runs SW/NE on the lower front of the vest. Two nearly vertical die scratches can be found to the right of the Y in LIBERTY. Obverse Stage B: Large die chips can be found in the upper 9 and 5 in the date. Obverse Stage C: The same as Stage B. Reverse Stage A: Parallel die scratches run south from the I in PLURIBUS. Die scratches run south from the bottom of the C in AMERICA. A die gouge can be found to the left of the lower right wheat stalk SE of the second A in AMERICA. Reverse Stage B: The Stage A die markers are present but weaker. A die crack runs along the right side of the lower right wheat stalk. Reverse Stage C: The die crack in the lower right wheat stalk now extends outward to the rim. Obverse Stage A:
