Description
TDC-50c-1955-01 This 1955 Franklin half has a die clash event known as “Bugs Bunny” or in some instances as the “Dracula” half. The clash mark seen by the mouth of Franklin was left by the recess areas in the wing of the eagle on the reverse die. Also seen is the B from PLURIBUS clashed into the hair on the back of Franklin’s head. This die can be identified by the long die scratch seen from the second boittom curl of hair to the O of GOD. The square clash mark under the eagle’s right wing is left by the field in front of Franklin’s upper lip and the bottom of his nose. The upper portion of Franklin’s collar can be seen clashed into the area above the Liberty bell. The back of Franklin’s head can be seen clashed into the motto EPU.
