Description

A doubled eyelid shows to the south of the normal eyelid. Die Markers: Obverse: A die clash shows at Lincoln’s throat. Light diagonal die scratches show above the letters RTY in LIBERTY. A long horizontal die scratch runs through and left of IN. A series of faded diagonal die scratches show below GOD. Die gouges show between the letters TRU in TRUST. A series of horizontal die cracks show on Lincoln’s lower bust above the VDB initials. Reverse: Diagonal die scratches show above the left wheat tip. Diagonal die scratches show between the letters BUS in PLURIBUS. A vertical die scratch shows between the right wheat tip and the M in UNUM. A die clash line runs from the E in ONE to the N in CENT. A diagonal die scratch shows behind the C in CENT. Diagonal die scratches run from the U in UNITED through the O in OF. A die scratch shows southeast of the mint mark, running NNE/SSW. A long die scratch runs NNE from the second 5 in the date. Vertical die scratches run north from IB in LIBERTY. A die scratch runs SW/NE well under TY in LIBERTY. A horizontal die gouge shows at the rim above IN in the motto. A diagonal die gouge joins the previously mentioned gouge above the letter I in IN. Diagonal die scratches run through the letters UST in TRUST. Light vertical die scratches are present at the front of the neck. Reverse: Light, vertical die scratches run through and below the letters E and P in E PLURIBUS. A die gouge (dot) shows to the left of the right wheat tip. Mostly vertical die scratches show to the left of the right wheat tip. A diagonal die scratch runs southeast from the upper E in ONE. Heavy die scratches run between N and T in CENT. Mostly vertical die scratches run above the letters U and N in UNITED. A long, mostly vertical die scratch runs north from upper left edge of the letter M in AMERICA. A vertical die scratch runs through the lower right side of E in STATES. A vertical die scratch runs south from the letter A in STATES, through the letter C in AMERICA.
