Description
1953 WDDO-001 is a doubled die obverse on the 1953 proof Franklin half dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. LIBERTY shows very close doubling, spread toward the rim. On the obverse, south of the date's 1, heavy vertical scratches mark the bust's lower front. Wexler notes no reverse markers. Cliff Lawless submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
