Description
1952-D WDDO-012 is a doubled die obverse on the 1952-D Lincoln Wheat cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. An extra eyelid lies southeast of the normal one. Obverse markers: a scratch heading northeast from the middle of the front of the forehead; two scratches heading northeast from the tops of LIBERTY's E and R; and a curving gouge below GOD's O and D, between the two letters. Reverse markers: a scratch heading WSW from the lower right of UNITED's N, and a scratch heading ENE from the lower right of the first S in STATES to the first T. Lucy Ginden submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
