Description
1950 WDDR-001 is a doubled die reverse on the 1950 Franklin half dollar, cataloged by the Wexler team. A spread toward the center shows on HALF DOLLAR, E PLURIBUS UNUM (EPU), USA (UNITED STATES OF AMERICA) and the lower right tail feathers, and it is strongest across the lower half of the reverse. On the obverse, a small gouge lies above the S in TRUST. On the reverse, a small gouge sits over the first U in UNUM, toward its left side. John A. Wexler submitted the variety. Wexler lists no cross-references.
