1948-D Doubled Die Obverse WDDO-005

Description

A CW spread shows on the second T in TRUST, the 48 in the date, and the bottom of the L in LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: The obverse is also an RPM which is listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1948-D 1¢ WRPM-037. It is a D/D Tilted (Rotated). Reverse: A die crack runs along the left side of the right wheat stalk to the left of the top three wheat grains.
