Description
A Class V CW spread from a pivot at about 2:00 shows on LIBERTY. The “doubling” to the date, designer’s initials, and IGWT looks like a dual hubbing from the doubled working hub creating tripling, or even quadrupling. Die Markers: Obverse: Type I. Major cluster of small die gouges (dots) spread over the area from the eye to ear. ENE/WSW die scratch connects the top of the 1and 9 in the date. Die scratch NNW from the lower lip. Reverse: Large die chip on the upper side of the center bar of the E in STATES. Light die scratch NE from the upper band of the torch holder to the left upper oak leaf.
