Description
A Class V CW spread from a pivot at about 3:00 shows on LIBERTY. The “doubling” to the date, designer’s initials, and IGWT looks like a dual hubbing from the doubled working hub creating tripling, or even quadrupling. Die Markers: Obverse: Type I. Die scratch north from the upper outside area of the nose. Short die scratch south from the bust NW of the J in the designer's initials. NE/SW die scratches between the B and E of LIBERTY with a short heavy N/S gouge. Reverse: NNE/SSW die scratch across the lower inside opening of the E in STATES.
