Description

A strong Class V CW spread from a pivot at about 12:00 shows on the date, the designer’s initials, the back of the neck, IGWT and the LIBE of LIBERTY. Die Markers: Obverse: Type I. Long die scratch NE from the hair to the rim at 12:00. Two short SW scratches from the rim just west of the previous scratch. Die scratch from upper right of the B, through ER to upper T of LIBERTY. Numerous short die scratches NW from the nose. Reverse: The reverse of this variety has the doubling seen on WWHR-001. Short NW/SE die scratch on the upper oak leaves. Die chips below the right hand lower olive leaves. WNW/ESE die scratch through the upper opening of the M in AMERICA.
