Description

The lower eye is spread to the west. Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: The obverse is also an RPM listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1946-D 1¢ WRPM-065. It is a D/D Tilted (Rotated). Arcing die scratch from the top of the front curl to the left side of the U of TRUST. Die gouge on head. Die gouges above the ear. Die gouge behind the ear running south. Die gouge starting to the right of the upper ear running east and ending above the eye. Die gouge just below the eye running SE. Die scratch above the Y of LIBERTY running north. Die gouge on back running south than east to the lapel. Obverse Stage B: Two small die gouges on the top of the forehead. Reverse Stage A: The reverse is a doubled die listed in the Wexler Doubled Die Files as 1946-D 1¢ WWHR-001. Doubling shows on the lower left wheat stalk and stem. Die scratch between the upper left wheat tip and the E of E PLURIBUS. Die scratches running east from the lower left wheat to the upper and lower U of UNITED. A light die scratch is seen at the inside base of the U of UNITED running south. Reverse Stage B: Die chip on right edge of left wheat to the left of the upper U of UNITED. Obverse Stage A:
