Description

1945 WDDO-020 is a doubled die obverse on the 1945 Lincoln Wheat cent, cataloged by the Wexler team. The date and the letters of TRUST show a spread toward the center. Obverse markers: a scratch heading ENE from the top right of LIBERTY's Y, and a WSW scratch from the base of the 9. Reverse markers: a scratch heading SW from the upper left of the E in EPU; a SSW scratch from the bottom of PLURIBUS's L to the top of ONE's O; a scratch heading NE from the top right of that O; a WSW-to-ENE scratch through the upper O of ONE; clash remnants through the upper right of CENT's N; a crack crossing the lower right wheat ear and running out to the rim; and a crack heading SSE from the second A of AMERICA down to the right wheat ear's bottom.
