Description
Class II + VI, Distorted and Distended Hub Doubling "Best Of" Nickel Doubled Die VarietiesA strong Class II and VI spread shows on E PLURIBUS UNUM and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, increasing from left to right. Doubling also shows on FIVE CENTS and LLO of MONTICELLO. Die Markers: Obverse: Die crack from top of Jefferson's head to rim; die gouge (dot) on his nose. Reverse: Slanted die scratches to right of large semicircular window; strong die gouges below UM of UNUM.
