Description
An extra eyelid can be found just above the normal eyelid. Die Markers: Obverse: Die gouge above the 9 of the date. Die scratch to the upper right of the N of IN. The obverse of this variety is also an RPM that is listed in the Wexler RPM Files as 1944-D 1¢ WRPM-020, a D/D Tilted (Rotated). Reverse: Die gouge inside the upper portion of the C of CENT.
